Our weekly retreats run all year long, so when you book your stay with us the FIRST STEP is to choose the week that works best with your schedule. Every week we have different guest yoga teachers from around the world that come to teach at Anamaya bringing their unique talents and energy. Our retreats run from Saturday to Saturday.
The price of your retreat starts with your BASE RATE (which includes your accommodations and meals). Excursions, workshops, and other add-ons you choose to customize your week will be added to your final bill at Anamaya.

Cristiane Machado, a Brazilian-born citizen of the Universe, is a passionate advocate for therapeutic tools that reconnect us to our divine essence and the collective consciousness.
In 1999, Cristiane immigrated to the USA and attended the Florida School of Massage. This transformative experience sparked her journey of self-realization and led to a successful career as a massage therapist. With her own practice, Cristiane dedicated herself to exploring the infinite possibilities of physicality and the profound connection between our bodies and a wholesome life. During her time at the Florida School of Massage, Cristiane rediscovered her mystical upbringing. Raised by seekers, she was exposed to various rituals, religions, and a free-thinking mindset. Her studies in Reiki and Johrei since the age of 13 found new resonance as she reconnected with the energy work she had experienced as a child. At the Florida School of Massage, Cristiane also deepened her interest in practices such as yoga and meditation. These modalities became a catalyst for her spiritual awakening, igniting a passion that would shape her path.
After establishing herself as a bodyworker in Gainesville, FL, Cristiane pursued a Krazy career as a ZUMBA® instructor. This period of her life marked her profound spiritual awakening and the birth of the YogaLoka Project, which she co-created. In 2009, she had the opportunity to further her studies of yoga and plant medicine in Montezuma, Costa Rica, where she eventually relocated in 2018.
Cristiane is a dreamer at heart, envisioning a world of equality and community where everyone serves and is served, regardless of color, financial status, sexual orientation, or any other societal labels. As a bodyworker, 200-hour yoga guide with a focus on Hatha Yoga, and a facilitator of well-being, Cristiane creates safe and courageous spaces for growth, expansion, and evolution. She also holds sacred/medicinal cacao circles, hosts yoga retreats worldwide, and spreads the message of reawakening divinity and empowering warriors of light.
In her paradise home in Montezuma, Cristiane can be found surfing, dancing, spending time with her son, when she travels to Florida and chasing her 2 dogs and her kitty.
Cristiane’s teaching philosophy is that Yoga is a practice for life. There is no end product of the practice of Yoga. Practicing Yoga is a natural tool of self-knowledge, self-acceptance, self-forgiveness and a path to learn and embrace our divinity. Cristiane loves to guide Yoga to new students as well to more practiced and curious ones. As a Massage Therapist and Body Worker, Cristiane understands and loves all the power that resides on human beings’ physicality, and she firms believes that by spending time to connect breathe, physical effort and the power of observance, one can achieve a deep sense of well being, inner peace and perhaps, even heal old patterns of dis-ease in the physical body. Her teaching style, which she rather call, guidance, is an all inclusive practice, geared to every body where the focus is the breathe and the time to absorb the movement and sensations that are happening in Yoga. Cristiane infuses her guiding style with Hatha, Yin and laughing yoga creating a safe space for inner exploration. She loves to offer props ad modifications to make the practice accessible and she is happy when her students learn how to take their Yoga Practice off the mat and into the world, as we all practice kindness towards one another.

Native to tropical regions of the world, cacao is chocolate before the processing—an unsugared, unadulterated form of one of the world’s favorite treats. Cacao’s scientific name, “Theobroma cacao,” translates to the “Food of the Gods” and for good reason. Known as a superfood, cacao is high in magnesium, calcium, antioxidants, and iron and is an incredible mood booster! One of our favorite cacao properties is anandamide, a neurotransmitter known as the bliss molecule. For those with an interest or background in yoga and/or Hindu philosophy, you may know that the word “ananda” means bliss and refers to a higher state of being. Cacao facilitates our goal of achieving that blissful state and deepens our connection to our highest selves.
According to indigenous myth, when the balance between humankind and nature is threatened, cacao comes from the rainforest to open our hearts and return us to harmony. Already have a connection to chocolate? We invite you to experience another dimension of that connection—a deeply spiritual or shamanic one. Sacred cacao partners with us, facilitating the journey inward and the discovery of our truest, most love-filled selves.
It is a gathering honoring ancient wisdom of the Mayans and Aztecs and the cultures of South and Central America. There is a sage and palo santo opening and cleansing of the energies and purification of the body before attendees sit in a circle.
Ceremonies officiated by Cristiane start with opening the 4 corners of the world and inviting the guidance of IxCacao Goddess of cacao by Mayan traditions and the Cacao, prepared solely with water (spices and sweeteners can be added) is blessed in preparation. After the Cacao is served also in a ceremonial and ritualistic manner, Cristiane guides the attendees in a Self Exploratory meditation that clears and connects mind, voice and heart.
Cristiane invites to NOT have any expectations… and, some participants have experienced tingling on their skin, energy that rises up to the eyes (Crying a s purifying and wonderful tool of self healing), some felt euphoria, and at times, a deep sense of liberation and joy. Many of Cristiane’s clients who she have worked closely with Cacao, have shared that they no longer make use of antidepressant and psychosomatic drugs.
