Our weekly retreats run all year long, so when you book your stay with us the FIRST STEP is to choose the week that works best with your schedule. Every week we have different guest yoga teachers from around the world that come to teach at Anamaya bringing their unique talents and energy. Our retreats run from Saturday to Saturday.
The price of your retreat starts with your BASE RATE (which includes your accommodations and meals). Excursions, workshops, and other add-ons you choose to customize your week will be added to your final bill at Anamaya.

GUEST TEACHER BIO
April has a childlike bubbly energy that spreads to others. Her open and non judgmental demeanor will invite you to be fully present with yourself and all of the magic within you.
April is a yogi, an aerialist, a dancer, mother, entrepreneur and artist. She discovered yoga and dance as a new mother looking for community and support, and has spent more than 10 years since then studying, teaching and spreading joy through yoga, dance and circus arts. In her community in a small town in Indiana April has created a solid community and safe space for yoga and movement. She began renovating an old abandoned bar in 2016 to create a much needed physical location to house this community.
April inspires others through the fearless pursuit of her dreams and creativity. These journeys have strengthened her and taught her so much about taking risks and living your dreams in spite of fear, and she can’t wait to share this inspiration with you!
April is a certified RYT, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, Zumba Instructor, Kids and Adult Aerial Yoga, Silks, and Lyra Hoop Instructor. She has taught several thousand hours of yoga and aerial arts to adults and children, and offers an Aerial Yoga Teacher Certification program. April is the founder and owner of Go Aerial Fitness, a full service wellness facility in LaPorte, Indiana.
April’s Teaching Philosophy
Life is short. We only have one life. Just one. So why aren’t we running, like we are on fire, towards our wildest dreams? Is it because we are afraid? Afraid of what others might think of us? Maybe we aren’t sure what our “wildest dreams” even are!
April’s teaching philosophy combines playful and creative movement with the tools of yoga to release fears and inspire you to manifest your dreams.
Creative and playful Asana: Through our body and the physical movements of yoga we can learn to release patterns of fear. April uses playful patterns that offer you room for your own creativity. She offers variations of postures with more ease or effort to create a welcoming flow for beginners and advanced practitioners. In addition to regular “on the ground” yoga, Aerial yoga and circus arts can change your perspective as new movement patterns and perspectives are explored. Inversions and other movements are possible with aerial that can help move energy differently, and break free of your limitations.
Perspective in Pranayama: Finding peace in the present moment regardless of what the moments holds takes a lot of practice. April offers several breath work meditations during your practice to connect to the present moment. You will be able to learn them and add them to your daily practices. Practicing this can deeply change your perspective, bringing abundant peace and gratitude to your life.
Chakras in Practice: April includes detailed visualizations on each chakra, giving a thorough explanation of each chakra energy center. This will help develop a deep understanding of the chakra system. Empowering yourself with this knowledge will create powerful changes in your life. April connects the chakras to your practice, helping you understand yourself and your patterns, where you can then release and work through these energies.
Intro to Aerial YOGA
Aerial yoga utilizes aerial silk fabric which is tied or rigged into a swing, or hammock configuration. This makes it a lot easier than aerial silks, because with the hammock some of the “puzzle” of aerial silks is already completed.
Aerial yoga flows through a Vinyasa yoga sequence, utilizing the hammock to deepen stretches, support our balance, and help us with inversions off the floor, and on the floor (headstand, handstand, and forearm stand are super accessible with the hammock!)
Aerial yoga can help you release a lot of fear in your body, and it’s super fun! Aerial yoga includes breath work, and a closing savasana.

Restorative/Yin Aerial Yoga
Aerial yoga is a highly versatile practice. Experience a magical restorative flow, supported by the fabrics. Long holds, meditative music and guided meditations are included in restorative/yin aerial yoga. Most poses in this class have part of your body connected to the floor, making this a very accessible practice and very gentle way to explore aerial yoga. Students may feel a deep sensation of returning to the womb in this practice. Connect to your inner child and return to peace in this practice.
The price is $45.
Partner Yoga and Beginner Acro Yoga
Partner yoga is a fun way to connect with others, and practice trust and communication. We will begin with partner meditations and gentle easy partner yoga sequences. We will also introduce some basic acro yoga movements (Lifting each other up! Standing on each other!) You do not need a partner for this workshop! We will switch partners throughout the time to maximize our connection, and learn how different body types can work together.
All fitness levels and experience levels are welcome.
