Retreat Details

Our weekly retreats run all year long, so when you book your stay with us the FIRST STEP is to choose the week that works best with your schedule. Every week we have different guest yoga teachers from around the world that come to teach at Anamaya bringing their unique talents and energy. Our retreats run from Saturday to Saturday. 

The price of your retreat starts with your BASE RATE (which includes your accommodations and meals). Excursions, workshops, and other add-ons you choose to customize your week will be added to your final bill at Anamaya.

“ONCE I FELL IN LOVE WITH YOGA, I LEARNED HOW TO FALL IN LOVE WITH MYSELF”

Victoria’s entire life has been full of movement.  At a young age she was always singing, dancing and acting.  She fell in love with performing and sharing her knowledge with others.  After many years of being a competitive dancer, she turned her passion into a career.  She was blessed with many opportunities in the dance world and taught competitive dance and choreographed for twenty years.

Just like so many others, even though she loved her job, her life felt chaotic.  The stress was becoming unbearable, although she was unaware of it at the time. Something was missing.  Then, in walked yoga.  She had taken yin yoga classes for many years, however, she never really felt a connection with the movement.  Then one Saturday she took her first Vinyasa Flow.  She had no idea that yoga poses could be so beautiful and strong.  This was the missing puzzle piece!

Victoria became obsessed with the physical practice, and became a studio rat, trying to get in as many classes as she could. Within a year her whole life had transformed.  Not only had she seen amazing changes in her physical body, Victoria had become more grounded and clear on the next part of her life journey.

She decided it was time to make big changes in her life and this meant saying goodbye to her career as a dance educator and shifting into the role of a yoga teacher.

Over the next five years Victoria took advantage of as many learning opportunities as she could.  In June 2019 she travelled to Thailand to immerse herself in the Bryce YTT and received her 200hr RYT.  Since then, Victoria has spent countless hours on her movement practice, including completing her 500hr YTT, Aerial Yoga Instructor and becoming a Functional Range Conditioning Movement Specialist. She is the founder of Strong With Nature Yoga, which offers online yoga and mobility training, as well as in-person 1:1 movement training, classes and workshops.  She loves travelling to other cities to share her knowledge and she is honoured to have the opportunity to guide others through their movement journey.

Victoria wants to create a community where she can share her experiences and learn from others.  She aims to create a judgement free learning space where others can find their own path through yoga and movement.  Victoria wants to encourage all of her students to explore what’s possible in their bodies and minds.

Teaching Philosophy

Victoria has spent 25 years teaching people from the ages of 2-75. She understands that we all have individual needs and her kind approach puts you at ease. She involves her knowledge from many modalities into her classes to give her students the opportunity to feel strong in their mind and bodies, giving individual adaptations along the way.

Victoria wants everyone to feel welcome whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned practitioner. Her clear instructions make everybody and every body feel safe, yet challenged. Victoria’s approach to yoga is all encompassing and she loves finding moments to be playful and creative. She incorporates pranayama, asana, mobility, functional movements and meditation.

Victoria empowers her students to want to dive deeper into their healing and take what they learn on their mats into their daily lives. She believes that we can use our movement practice as an intimate connection to support our physical and mental health.

Victoria has the gift to communicate and make each student feel seen and heard. She specializes in guiding the mature body through a safe movement experience, giving people the tools they need to stay mobile and out of pain.

Victoria loves to teach creative Vinyasa Flows, as well as recovery classes to create a well balanced experience. You can expect to feel accepted, supported and nourished after a class with Victoria.
