Our weekly retreats run all year long, so when you book your stay with us the FIRST STEP is to choose the week that works best with your schedule. Every week we have different guest yoga teachers from around the world that come to teach at Anamaya bringing their unique talents and energy. Our retreats run from Saturday to Saturday.
The price of your retreat starts with your BASE RATE (which includes your accommodations and meals). Excursions, workshops, and other add-ons you choose to customize your week will be added to your final bill at Anamaya.

Mar y Sol has a diverse portfolio of healing therapies reflecting her chosen path in life. Her passion for natural healing is inspired by her love of nature – a result of growing up in nature’s petri dish, Costa Rica.
Her Zen studies and philosophies unfurled when she traveled abroad as a teenager to Japan where she discovered the ancient art of Japanese archery, a traditional art she continues to explore and study. Japanese archery demands not only skill but discipline, humility, and mentorship – all elements that are echoed in her practices.
Inspired by her immersion in Eastern culture and philosophy, upon returning to Costa Rica, Mar Y Sol began practicing yoga and meditation. She committed herself to learning, at first locally in Costa Rica, and then in Canada, and ultimately in India.
Her study of Yoga philosophy and meditation under Himalayan masters is at the root of her core practice which intimately explores the relationship between the soul, the conscious mind, and the physical body. Masterfully Mar y Sol uses combinations of aromatherapy, touch, and movement to access and heal mind & soul imbalances.
Mar y Sol has over fifteen years of experience as a certified wellness and yoga instructor, and massage therapist with additional certifications in reiki, medical, and Swedish massage. She became fascinated with the medicinal powers of plants which inspired her to get her certification in Aromatherapy and to study more about medicinal plants and native plants.
Mar y Sol offers her expertise at Anamaya drawing on her breadth of teaching styles including dynamic stretching, slow and energetic flows, traditional hatha, restorative yoga and yoga nidra… as well as meditation techniques. Additionally, she will be teaching workshops in Aromatherapy for Wellness, deep relaxation in the workshop Bliss, and Play Fit. Mar y Sol can be easily recognized by her grounding spirit, disciplined patience, and infectious laugh.
She has the levity of a young spirit with the healing powers of an old soul.

Plants and essential oils have an enourmous healing power, but often misused, people tend to buy more essential oils than what they end up using. In this workshop you’ll learn how to use and how not to use the essential oils you like.
We will study 12 different plants and oils – going through their basic chemistry, how they work on the body, and different recipes and ways to use them at home. You will also learn how to blend essential oils with vegetable oils and you will even formulate and take with you a travel size roll on, and a spray.

This workshop has 2 life changing components, first the theory and the science of breathwork and relaxation for your well being. Second the techniques and practices to restore your central nervous system – diving deep into relaxation. Based on yoga nidra techniques and the science of non sleep deep rest, (NSDR) which not only gives you a deep reset but also improves learning and your cognitive capacities.
