YTT RATES
Colynn Vosburgh E-RYT 500 started her journey in the healthcare field in 2000 while simultaneously also beginning her path in yoga. Moving through the ranks of uncertified Home Support Worker, Care Aide, Licensed Practical Nurse and then Registered Nurse, all within the Emergency Department, she thought she had found her place in the world. After years of service, being overworked and underappreciated, Colynn experienced burnout and decided that being a doctor was likely the answer to it all… She applied to and was accepted to Medical School and coincidentally also did her yoga teacher training. She immediately recognized that Med School was not the answer, but felt locked in due to family support and an incredibly large student loan. Colynn journeyed through it all, starting a yoga business while raising a family, while working as a nurse and becoming a doctor. Little sleep and an incredibly packed schedule, brought her to a place of committing to a path, and she chose the path of yoga. She decided to leave medical school and retire from nursing and put all of her energy into yoga and eventually coaching others in life and business. As life does, continued challenges of empty nest and new relationships brought her to the point of selling everything and starting on the nomadic path. Continuing on this path, Colynn spends a majority of her time in Costa Rica, loving the ocean, the jungle and most importantly the people.
The path of yoga and coaching has brought Colynn’s western knowledge and clinical experience to meet with her eastern yoga philosophy and chakra work to create her very personal and individually tailored offerings. She is filled with joy to offer anatomy lessons, yoga classes, past life regressions and facilitate teacher trainings to support awakening however that looks to each person. She has taught over a hundred Yoga Teacher Trainings and has thousands of hours of Yoga Training to support on this path.
program goals
This transformational Yoga Alliance (YA) accredited 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course is designed to advance your yoga education by building upon the foundation of your current 200-Hour Certification. Upon successful completion of the training program, with your YA approved 200-hour certification, you will be eligible to apply for your 500 RYT.
The Foundational Pillars of This Training Include:
1. Experience – to be in integrity as a teacher it is important that you practice what you preach. Therefore, to teach, it must come from experience. Allow yourself the space to let go of the teacher role and fully immerse yourself in the practices and the healing that takes place in surrender.
2. Exploration – to be a successful and skillful teacher, one must be authentic and knowledgeable. Exploration coupled with personal feedback supports each teacher in finding clarity in their life, their offerings and their business.
3. Integration – In teacher training we are able to retreat from the ordinary and assess, reassess and/or create a plan of action. Imperative to a successful landing back in your everyday world post yoga teacher training immersion, is integration. More than just learning and experiencing the practices, together we will create a tool belt to support your integration back into your current teaching, your personal yoga practices and how to also share these tools with clients and students.
4. Clearing – all of the coaching, practices and teachings in the training are chosen and arranged in a specific order to support and launch you into the next chapter of your yoga inquiry and career.
This training is unique because not only does it follow a specific curriculum, it has the space to tailor the training to suit your wants and needs in your personal practice, your teaching practice and your business. You will receive individual feedback on your current teaching style and we will discuss how to make your presence, classes and offerings more aligned and authentic.
Practicum hours allow space for us to co-create the direction of your focus in the training. You will be teaching classes, meditations and presenting a final project based on what you want to incorporate into your teaching (or personal practice). Eg. If you want to focus on Yin & Chakras, your classes will incorporate your focus into them and the presentation could be the outline of a retreat you want to run or if you want to coach people through the chakras.
We look further at finding a completely balanced teaching and personal practice by:

- Refining your teaching skills and verbal cues/ demonstrate assists/ refine alignment of common poses included within the 4 styles.
- Creating inspiring themes for your class to integrate the mental/emotional inquiry with the postures.
- Enhancing your knowledge of pose variations to adapt the postures to anybody, any age, health condition, or limitation.
- Diving deeper into the 7 Chakras and the chakra system as a whole. We will explore each chakra individually and connect the teachings and concepts to the physical body, our emotional states and current energetic balances.
