Cancellation Policy
Please Read Carefully
Cancellation Policy for Anamaya Guests:
As a small business, we operate with limited availability and often turn away other guests once a reservation is confirmed. When we reserve a room (or multiple rooms) for you, it becomes unavailable to others. Because of this, last-minute cancellations often leave us unable to fill the space, resulting in a significant loss.
We kindly ask that you be 100% certain of your plans before submitting your deposit.
If you don’t arrive for your stay, your deposit helps cover part of the cost – but we still lose the remaining balance your full payment would have provided. In that way, the financial impact is shared between you and us.
This policy applies to all situations, including illness, travel delays, emergencies, and events outside of anyone’s control (also known as “acts of God”).
We highly recommend you get trip insurance in case something happens and you can’t come. We’ve had guests who were unable to attend due to injuries, bad weather closing airports, passport issues, etc. In many cases, the travel insurance will reimburse you for your expenses including the deposit you paid us.
If you need to cancel your reservation more than 60 days before your scheduled arrival date, then we will refund half of your deposit amount.
If you need to cancel your reservation 60 days or less before your scheduled arrival date, then you will lose your deposit.
For Yoga Teacher Trainings, after the deposit is paid, the remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to arrival. Once the balance payment is made it is non-refundable.
If you have paid your deposit directly to a retreat teacher who is hosting their retreat at Anamaya, you will need to check their refund policy.
If you need to leave your retreat or yoga teacher training early, you will not receive a refund for the remaining time of your scheduled stay.
Cancellation Policy for Independent or Private Retreat Leaders:
When you book a Private or Independent retreat at Anamaya, we reserve part – or all – of our resort exclusively for you. This means turning away other bookings and allocating significant internal resources to support your retreat, especially if you opt in to receive marketing support from our team.
It’s important to understand that you are solely responsible for filling your retreat. While we’re happy to assist with marketing (if you opt in), the success of your retreat – including reaching your minimum number of participants – is your responsibility. Choosing to rent the resort is a commitment, regardless of your final guest count.
Because of the time and energy involved in preparing for your retreat, our cancellation policy is as follows:
Cancellations made more than 6 months prior to the retreat start date:
You will receive a refund of 50% of your deposit.Cancellations made within 6 months of the retreat start date:
Your full deposit is non-refundable.
This policy applies in all circumstances, including personal emergencies, illness, travel disruptions, or acts of nature. We strongly recommend purchasing trip and event insurance to protect your investment.
If you have any questions or concerns, we’re happy to talk through them with you.
