Montezuma is lovely all year and has 2 major seasons:  green season and dry season.  

The temperature is a comfortable range of 75-85 F (24-30 C) all year.  Perfect beach weather!

Green season (May to October): There is some rain most days, often in the evenings, but the sun still shines most days also.  As the name implies it’s more green and lush.  The jungle is most alive.  There are a few less travelers so it can be more peaceful.  Sept and Oct have a bit more rain and can be a bit cooler.  Many people prefer the green season, and it’s  especially nice if you prefer smaller retreats.      

Dry Season (Nov to April): is also the high season because it coincides with the winter in the northern hemisphere making it more popular.  The prices are higher and there are more people, but it pretty much never rains.  March and April are the driest and can be a bit hotter. 

At Anamaya, because we often have a light breeze, the bugs are minimal and don’t really change very much through out the year.  The important thing to remember is that there is no bad time to come to Costa Rica!
