Leslie Lutsch lives in the highest city in Colorado right in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. She is in love with the mountains. Born a midwestern girl accustomed to the cold, she fell in love with a place that offered the seasons and also is a haven for outdoor junkies. She skis every winter, working at a small town ski resort, and in the summer she works at a river rafting company… nature truly rules her world.
Leslie began seriously studying yoga 10 years ago where she first travelled on her journey to Anamaya to learn from her amazing teacher, Banyan Gallagher, the ancient practice and art of yoga. Through this experience her heart opened and in her “regular” life she noticed her ability to be more mindful, aware, and compassionate and this in turn helped her build up to the current state of peace she experiences in her life, which she knows with yoga is and will remain ever expanding. She is also still very curious to learn more, she maintains her drive as a student in this rabbit hole of yogic knowledge.
After almost one decade of visiting the retreat center at Anamaya for at least 1 month each year as a student, Leslie is honored to return and host her very own retreat. In 2014 she attended her first 200 YTT at Anamaya, it was life-changing, a pivotal moment in her life, in her own personal evolution, and in her journey as a human being. Shortly after that she followed her amazing teacher to Indonesia where she attended her 300 YTT, and of course she needed more so she soon went to India for her 500 YTT. Ironically, she did not stop there, she continued on to teach at Anamaya with her same teacher for 3 years as his teaching assistant for his 200 hour YTT intensives, she say’s “ It has all been life-changing to say the very very very least.”
For 10 years Leslie has been teaching yoga and seriously practicing yoga; from running her own studio, to “slinging” it as a side gig, to virtual COVID friendly yoga, to workshops, donation yoga, even to horse yoga, and really EVERYTHING in between. She really cannot shake this practice and this is why she is so incredibly passionate about it. Yoga holds a space in her life to check in, stand up, hold herself accountable, and move towards her own evolution.
Leslie Loves to enjoy nature, travel, whitewater raft, rock climb, teach and practice yoga, ski, hike, bike, ice climb, you name it!!
