Retreat Details

Our weekly retreats run all year long, so when you book your stay with us the FIRST STEP is to choose the week that works best with your schedule. Every week we have different guest yoga teachers from around the world that come to teach at Anamaya bringing their unique talents and energy. Our retreats run from Saturday to Saturday. 

The price of your retreat starts with your BASE RATE (which includes your accommodations and meals). Excursions, workshops, and other add-ons you choose to customize your week will be added to your final bill at Anamaya.

Meg Shuba


For almost 10 years, Meg’s flow landscapes + potent meditations have caught the attention of magazine publications, celebrities, and those stepping onto the mat for the first time. She has taught in the San Francisco Bay area, Denver Colorado, and both Austin and Dallas Texas. While at her recent home in coastal Georgia, Meg was named “Savannah’s New Spiritual Leader” by South Magazine. This will be her first-time teaching at Anamaya.

Having lived coast to coast in the United States, Meg’s classes reflect her own personal discoveries as her deep love for the practice pours out. As she wordsmiths students on an emotional and artful journey, she gives of herself fully. Meg’s students have travelled with her on global retreats and studied under her, through her Yoga Alliance accredited Yoga School. Her 200 (Body Poetic) and 300 (Sacred Poetic) Hour Teacher Trainings have yielded graduates who have gone on to teach internationally. Meg has taught, directed, and started some of the most well-known studios, hotels, health, and country clubs all over the nation; however, her hope is to bring a down-to-earth and relatable experience…one that’s magnetic, electric, and maybe, even filled with belly laughs or tears. You choose.

Meg is a 500 E-RYT, YACEP, owns both a 200RYS and 300RYS. You will find an influence of Katonah Yoga/Taoism in her classes, as this is her recent area of study.

Meg’s Teaching Philosophy

In the way she deeply, fluidly, and unconventionally moves the body and mind, Meg’s signature (and perhaps, unusual) style, poetically weaves together humor and storytelling.  She describes her style as spicy, nuanced, whimsical, and emotional.  In the morning, expect equal parts sweat and soul during out-of-box Vinyasa classes.  For the evening classes, she will guide you through quiet heavenly practices to bring you back home to the heart. Her workshops will be highly educational pulling curriculum from her own Yoga Teacher Trainings. “Breathe like you are all in” is a motto Meg not only uses but embodies.  Her goal for every single student is “move and be moved”.


Body Poetry Workshops

All workshops are 90 min, $45 each or $125 for all three.

Body Poetry Workshop:  Meg will breakdown commonly used transitions in Vinyasa classes as well as teach students new and fresh ways to move from pose to pose on their mat. Think both popular transitions as well as unconventional. Learn how to emotionally uncage your heart and fluidly move your body in this educational session. This workshop will teach you how to move your body in an inquisitive, organic and playful way.

Breath Poetry Workshop: This workshop welcomes those new to meditation as well as students who already have a daily meditation practice. Learn how to see your body as your adobe. Meg will take you on a breath journey inside your home. Students will learn how to hold their posture while in meditation, explore several mudras for the hands, mantras for the mind, and pranayama practices to take home.

Spirit Poetry Workshop: A Full Moon Ritual for the Full Snow Moon in Leo.  We will move and breathe, clearing our old patterns and stories. Afterwards we will get still with our mind and lastly journal all our findings. Expect influences from Buddhist Meditation, Kundalini Kriya, and Bhakti (Yoga of Devotion). A wonderful way to end our week at Anamaya, take care of your spirit, and usher in the New Moon.
