Anamaya’s COVID-19 Response and Precautions

Anamaya’s Coronavirus Policies and Procedures

Montezuma, Costa Rica – How are we handling Coronavirus as Costa Rica opens up to tourism?

Costa Rica is open and we are so excited to welcome you back! We want to be sure that everyone who joins us understands the increased measures we are taking to ensure your safety and comfort.

In addition to the standard of increased cleanliness Anamaya has set prior to Coronavirus,
all rooms are going to be nebulized with Sanitizer products killing 99% virus and bacterias.

At the entrance there is a sink to wash the hands when people arrive.

There is a sanitizer station to clean your shoes when people arrive.

In addition there are alcohol gel dispensers in various locations around the property.

Cleaning Protocol:

Housekeeping and maintenance use masks and gloves when they clean the rooms, and maintain the property at all times.

The laundry department is using antibacterial detergent for clothes, sheets and anything being washed.

Lodging:

We are maintaining half capacity at the restaurant and are capping the hotel capacity at 30 guests.

Classes and Shared Spaces:

All of Anamaya’s shared spaces are open air and there is no evidence that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to people through the water in pools.

Main Lounge Area: 6 people maximum at the Bali Bed and the other 2 sofas
Swimming pool: 8 people maximum
Main deck: 14 people
Lower deck: 14 people.
For Workshops: 15 people maximum.

In addition, all Anamaya employees wear masks at all times and are practicing an increased level of precaution.

There is also an increased level of precaution from the Costa Rican government upon entering the country, you can learn more about that here: https://cr.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/

To date we have not experienced any cases of Covid among our staff or our guests, and we plan on keeping it that way. However, if you were diagnosed with Covid-19 while staying at Anamaya you would need to follow the directions provided by your travel health insurance. Each insurance company and policy is different. You are required by the ministry of health to have purchased health insurance that complies with the requirements to enter Costa Rica.

We are so excited to welcome you back for a chance to breathe the incredible fresh air of Costa Rica, enjoy moving your body in the heart of nature, and relax after such a trying time.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
